Bus Conductor Tour
In April 2016 Halton’s Young People’s Theatre led a magical mystery tour through the streets of Runcorn and Widnes, capturing a glimpse into the nooks and crannies of people’s untold dreams.
Halton Heritage Partnership in collaboration with The Suitcase Ensemble and Halton Young People’s Theatre brought the past to life through a theatrical bus tour – Between Dreams – hosted by George, a former bus conductor who guided travellers on the bus through Halton’s lesser known landmarks. The tour showed the travelling audience his Halton, inviting them to discover the traces of unrealized dreams, hidden in the cracks, just waiting to be unleashed.
Between Dreams was a poetic guided circular bus ride between Runcorn and Widnes that mixed together local history with touching fictional nar
ratives and a sprinkling of personal memories.
