Future Projects
The Halton Heritage Partnership is now a fully constituted group, with partners across the borough all sharing a love of our local heritage and a passion to uncover more.
We received a start-up grant from the National Lottery and this enabled us to provide training for some of our members to support the development of our website, a guided visit to Chester Archives and promotional leaflets and resources.
We are now responsible for the promotion of the Heritage Open Days within the borough and are currently requesting information from our partners about their events.
A bid had been submitted successfully to the Heritage Lottery World War One fund, to research and publish the stories of some of the men from the borough who won gallantry medals. This has been completed with the publication of Halton’s Gallant Heroes booklet.
